## Caption

Being a first time mama can be so stressful. My shoulders and neck feel tense because I’ve literally been trying to make decisions all day, and every decision seems like the biggest decision ever. Is it really time to (gently) sleep train? Should Harper try butternut squash, broccoli, or peas next? Is her few minutes of screen time each day somehow stunting her development? Does she need an earlier bedtime and more structure in her daily schedule?  Is she too attached to me and is that attachment stifling her independence? There are so many choices and things to consider and the pressure is EXHAUSTING. I have to remind myself every day, multiple times a day that God chose me to be this little girl’s mama because I’m perfect for the job. No one is going to be a better mother to this particular little human than I am and none of these huge decisions are ever as big as they seem in retrospect. Harper is healthy and happy, so clearly I’m doing OK. Mom guilt is real. Mom anxiety is real. But thankfully, grace is real too. We just have to remember to give ourselves a little bit ♥️
