Even though a baby is only considered a newborn for the first 28 days, I felt like Harper was a newborn for the first 12 weeks 🤷🏾‍♀️. Or, what may be a better way to say it is that I felt like I was a newborn mom. We give so much attention to the new lives that we bring into this world, but what we forget is that we become new people when those beautiful bundles of joy are born too. When Harper was born, I felt like I was reborn myself as this new (and improved) mama version of me. It took me a while to get to know this new me and the type of mom she wanted to be, which I’m sure will continue to evolve and change over the months and years. So, by official standards and by my own standards, Harper is no longer a newborn. It’s crazy how fast it’s gone by and how much she’s grown and changed. She tries to be so independent already and I often find myself telling her to “slow down little girl!” After a month of motherhood, I shared the items that I couldn’t live without, and now that I’ve been a mommy for 3 months 🤯 I’m adding a few more things to the list!
