I can't help but smile this week because after I took a look back through my prayer journal from 6 months ago, I realized that I'm getting exactly what I prayed for. You see, a few months ago, my husband and I were in Fort Wayne for the basketball season, and as always, I was already looking ahead to what was to come for us. Every day I would pray for our future, among other things. I prayed that we would get the opportunity to live in a cool city where we could be happy and comfortable and that we would also make enough money to surpass our savings goal. As we prepare for the upcoming basketball season, I see that I'm getting exactly what I hoped for. Someone I've come to know and love said that if we knock, the door will be opened for us, and isn't it miraculous that he spoke nothing but the truth? Prayer works. God is always listening, and he always comes through, even if it's not in a way that we recognize right away.
