Travel to the middle of a California desert to find a place that looks like a post-apocalyptic playground. 😮 This is Bombay Beach, a tiny community on the eastern shore of the Salton Sea—just about an hour from Palm Springs. 🏜️ The area was a booming resort town in the 1950s–60s and has since become one of California’s most surprising creative hubs. 🎨 Expect quirky, large-scale art installations scattered throughout the sand. 🖼️ Keep in mind that most of the roads are dirt, and there are limited food and beverage options in town. 🚗
