The energy was nonstop as our NYC Hip Hop Winter Workshop took over Manhattan for three full days of movement, music, and momentum. Throughout the weekend, students trained with top hip hop artists, building skills, versatility, and confidence while experiencing the pulse of New York City.

Led by Artistic Directors Lissette Lucas and David Lucas, owners of our official partner Shake the Ground Competition shakethegroundcomp, this workshop offered an immersive experience across breaking, popping, whacking, tutting, street jazz, house, and commercial hip hop. An informal showing gave dancers the opportunity to share their work and bring performance presence into the studio. Thank you to our Artistic Directors, faculty, staff, dancers, and families for making this weekend such a powerful and memorable experience.


This Winter Workshop offered a glimpse into our NYC Hip Hop Summer Intensive, introducing dancers to the training, faculty, and creative environment that define our summer programs. Running June 22–July 10th, the NYC Hip Hop Summer Intensive continues this work with deeper immersion and expanded opportunities. Auditions are required.
