Nia reminds us that our purpose should uplift our people, protect our history, and shape the future.
Today, we’re highlighting leaders who turned calling into commitment:

-Marian Wright Edelman — a Spelman College alum who founded the Children’s Defense Fund and dedicated her life to advocating for children, families, and justice.

-Nikole Hannah-Jones — creator of The 1619 Project and Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist who made it her purpose to reframe American history, center Black truth, and educate future generations as a professor at Howard University.

-Howard Thurman — a Morehouse College alum whose teachings on faith, justice, and inner purpose helped spiritually guide the civil rights movement.
