Looking to start their new year off right? Here are a few things to add to your resolution list:

🩸Save a life, donate blood! - The OneBlood Big Red Bus will be at City Hall, 401 W. Venice Ave, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7 and Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026. According to OneBlood, every two seconds of every day, someone needs blood - your donation could save someone's life. While 62% of the population is eligible to donate, only 3% actually do. Donors must bring a valid ID, be 16 years or older, and should eat a full meal before donating. You can donate whole blood every 56 days. Appointments are not required.

🚴‍♂️Get fit with the COV Monthly Bike Ride! Starting at City Hall at 10 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month, join Special Events & Mobility Coordinator Darlene Culpepper for a leisurely, guided 7-mile ride around the island of Venice. Riders will meet at City Hall for a quick safety briefing before heading out. We’ll see you at the next ride on Jan. 8, 2026.

🪩Celebrate the City’s Centennial – The Venice Area Chamber of Commerce and City of Venice Together Through Time, Venice at 100 dinner on Jan. 21, 2026, invites you to dine with past City Mayors and Chamber Presidents, enjoy live music through the decades, bid on historic Venice images, take home exclusive Centennial memorabilia, share stories of past memories, and look forward to Venice's future!
