Front and back at the 1991 Night of Champions!

This was roughly my 8th year into training and my full focus was bodybuilding.
I had something to focus on, I had goals to strive towards and… I had a family to look after.

Later this year, I’d enter my first Olympia contest and place second. I actually could’ve competed at the 1990 Mr. Olympia as I’d qualified from the previous NoC contest, but I didn’t feel ready.

I won this contest and that was when I truly knew my dreams were finally coming true. Everything was falling into place, I got my 2nd invite from Joe Weider to go to California to shoot for his magazines and to sign up for my very first contract… almost a year after I turned down a lucrative offer from the newly formed WBF!

Follow your heart and the rest falls in line.🙏

Oh and here, absolutely diced to the bone, bone dry shredded at 235lbs… with a clear Christmas tree lower back😉
