Allen North graduated this May with a degree in Astrophysics from LAS and the Department of Astronomy. He is originally from Rolling Meadows, IL and was a member of the 
Mellophones.

His current plans are to pursue a masters degree in physics after working in the industry for a while. He is beginning a project on multi-stellar systems with the hope to understand more about the nature of the n-body problem.

“Marching Illini was a passion of mine since I picked up a brass instrument in 4th grade. My father also played in the mellophone section, and my time with the band showed me why he was so passionate about music and the university. MI is, and always will be, a place where I know I can feel closest to home. Thank you for the years and the people I will hold close for the rest of my life!”
