That advice didn’t make sense to him at first — but it became his truth.

Meet Jordan Lowe, a Memphis native whose journey proves that purpose is built through pressure, not shortcuts.

Jordan started college unsure if he could even afford it. He transferred schools, got hit by COVID, struggled with online learning, lost income, and eventually had to withdraw. He worked warehouse to warehouse — 12 of them — until a serious injury changed everything.

That moment inside a trailer, injured and exhausted, became his turning point:
“I could make way more money with my brain than with my hands.”

So he went back to school.

Returning to UAPB in 2021, Jordan didn’t just enroll — he locked in.
• Completed 4 corporate internships (DHL, FedEx, Tyson Foods, Walton Enterprises)
• Led multiple campus organizations
• Served in student government
• Became a residential assistant
• Balanced leadership, work, and survival

But the grind didn’t stop there.

At one point, while fighting both academic and financial aid appeals, Jordan spent his last $200 on a motel — then slept in a friend’s car — while trying to come up with $6,800 to stay enrolled.

And still… he didn’t quit.

Scholarships came through. Appeals were approved. Doors opened. Mentors stepped in. Faith carried him.

On December 13, Jordan crossed the stage and earned his Bachelor of Science in Administration & Finance — and now he’s headed toward a Master’s in Finance, corporate finance, investment analysis, and future certification in the financial industry.

His message is simple, but powerful:

• Don’t rush the process
• Don’t let finances stop your future
• Mentorship matters
• Faith + planning + action = results

From sleeping in cars to walking across the stage — this is what resilience looks like.
