🌍🛰 In collaboration with SpaceData Inc., CEOS (Committee on Earth Observation Satellites), Airbus Defence and Space, Maxar Technologies (now Vantor), The Commonwealth, the University of Bonn and the University of Tokyo, UNOOSA has developed digital twins of Accra, 🇬🇭Ghana, 🇹🇴Tonga, and 🇹🇹Tobago island. These high-resolution 3D models are more than just visual tools; they are virtual replicas that allow decision-makers to simulate future climate scenarios.
 
📍 What if sea levels rise by 1 metre? By 5?
📍 Which communities are most at risk of flooding or erosion?
📍 How can early warning systems be improved?
 
For Small Island Developing States and coastal nations, these can be life-and-death questions. Digital twins help transform satellite and geospatial data into practical, actionable insights supporting disaster risk reduction, sustainable urban planning, and climate resilience.
