1) Don’t let a calendar date pressure you into growth that doesn’t match the season of life you are actually in (more on that in a second) and 2) I couldn’t help but show what our growing family as looked like the past decade 🥹 The last photo I debated sharing cause it shows how much I have aged! 🤪

Okay a quick note about New Year’s Goals and resolutions ⬇️

If the new year sparks motivation and makes you want to move, grow, change, and dream bigger…by all means lean into that BUT,

it’s also okay to pause and notice the season you are in.

It’s the middle of winter. Creation itself is resting. Animals are still hibernating. Most of the world is cold, layered, moving slower out of necessity. Even if I live in Southern California and can’t blame the weather, many of you are waking up to snow, darkness, and freezing air. That alone asks something different of your body.

And then there’s the season of life.

You may have had a baby.
You may be pregnant.
You may be deep in the thick of raising little kids.
You may be carrying grief.
You may be under more stress than usual.
You may be surviving, not sprinting.

A calendar date does not get to decide what growth looks like for you.

Don’t get it twisted, this isn’t promoting laziness but it is about resisting pressure that ignores reality. Growth can be quiet, intentional, faithful, and slower at times. Sometimes the most obedient thing you can do is rest, pray, and ask God what this season is asking of you.

So here’s to 2026.
May it bring you joy, health, peace, and clarity.
May you move when it’s time to move.
May you rest when it’s time to rest.
And may you stay mindful of the season you’re in.
