Despite WWE announcing on Monday Night Raw that Dominik Mysterio is out of action "indefinitely," new reports indicate a shorter recovery timeline.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that the Intercontinental Champion will not require surgery for his injured shoulder. The current estimate from doctors is a 3-4 week recovery period.

If this timeline holds, Mysterio would be cleared to return in time for the Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia on January 31. The injury originally occurred on December 20 at an AAA event in Mexico.
