Crew members of China’s Shenzhou-21 mission have delivered New Year greetings in a video message sent from China’s space station.⁣

Mission commander Zhang Lu, along with astronauts Wu Fei and Zhang Hongzhang, shared their hopes for 2026 and extended their best wishes to the Chinese people.⁣

“We are the Shenzhou-21 crew. We wish everyone a smooth journey illuminated by the stars in the year ahead. Happy New Year!” the astronauts said in the video.⁣

China launched the Shenzhou-21 crewed spacecraft on November 1, 2025, sending the three astronauts to the space station for a six-month mission.⁣
