Toddlers just wanna feel included & capable🥹

Tbh when my husband sent me this video of bub helping him grill the chicken I was shocked (like omg be carefullll) yet so impressed at the same time?! 

We do “dad dinner” at least once a week so I can take a break, and even though it’s way easier to cook with no kids around - he’s noticed how much more bub actually eats + tries when he’s included in the process

And so have my clients!!!!

“She just started eating it straight out of the pan!”
“He wanted to smell every ingredient and even licked it off his fingers!”
“He even grabbed a raw green bean and took a bite”
“She actually was asking for more!” 🤯

Including them can be as simple as pouring ingredients in a bowl, picking what fruit goes into the muffins, smashing boiled eggs, cutting avocado for a salad, tossing sweet potato cubes in oil, or even helping put chicken on the grill (with supervision + hand washing, of course)

Think about how long we’ve been around food compared to how little our toddlers have 🙂‍↕️ sometimes it’s not that they “don’t like” the food, they just don’t know how to eat it yet or what’s even in it
