Lately, we’re all about the big version. It might seem silly to us since we think, “you literally have what I’m having,” but it still looks different to them!

They see us eating a whole sandwich half or a full rice cake, while theirs is cut into bite-size pieces. Which was important & helpful at one point, but now? They’re curious, craving more independence, & ready for more control!

Leaning into that can make mealtimes SO much smoother🙌🏼

So next time you notice resistance, let them decide how they want their food served, scoop from the big bowl or ask, “how can we make it better?” It might surprise you how much easier mealtimes can become & how much more willing they are to try a bite🫶🏼
