Make like these Sandhill Cranes and speak up! Our streams and wetlands need your voice.

Did you know that wetlands are among the most productive and biodiverse water sources in the world? They're essential to 40% of animals and plants, from the top to the bottom of the food web, including deer, birds, fish, turtles, dragonflies, and amphibians.

Threatened and endangered wildlife are no exception. Nearly half of all federally listed species in the United States depend on wetlands for survival.

Protections for wetlands and streams help protect the wildlife who live in and near them — and our communities who need clean drinking water. But those protections are under attack.

The Trump administration wants to gut safeguards for millions of acres of U.S. wetlands and streams. A newly proposed rule would weaken the Clean Water Act by severely narrowing the scope of protected waters, letting billionaires and corporations dump pollution in more wetlands and streams than ever before. It would reward polluters while undermining clean water safeguards, harming wildlife habitat, increasing flood risk, and threatening water used for drinking and recreation.

Help oppose these efforts to gut the Act and poison the planet by going to the link in our bio and selecting this post 🐟💧

[Video description: No spoken audio. The sounds of Sandhill Cranes can be heard. Two Sandhill Cranes make their way through their wetland habitat, calling out at they go. They are surrounded by yellowed grasses, and shimmering water can be seen through the plants.]
