portland_botanical wants to convert the McCormick & Baxter Superfund site, a former creosote wood treating facility in North Portland, into educational botanical gardens open to the public on the east bank of the Willamette River.

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is inviting public comment through Jan. 30 before making a final decision on the proposed sale.
