#TSRPolitics: A memorial march honoring those who died during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol is planned for Tuesday, Jan. 6, in Washington, D.C., according to a post on X by former Proud Boys leader #EnriqueTarrio.

Tarrio, 43, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison for seditious conspiracy related to the attack despite not entering the Capitol, was released in January 2025. President #DonaldTrump pardoned nearly 1,600 people charged in connection with the riot during his second term.

In his post, Tarrio called on supporters to join him “as we march for #AshliBabbitt” and “in memory of those who passed away.”

The five-year memorial march began at 11:45 a.m. local time. Participants, about 100-500, gathered at the Ellipse near the White House and walk roughly 1.5 miles to the Capitol, following the same route taken by rioters on Jan. 6, 2021, according to the event flyer.
