## Caption

It was our last night in Florence. We went out searching for a restaurant we had heard about from friends and reviews... It was apparently perched on a terrace over looking the Piazza Della Repubblica (the square that marks the ancient heart of Florence, where intellectuals and artists met in the early years of the 20th century) and this restaurant could only be accessed through a department store it was connected to.
Only problem was... we didn’t know the name of the department store and couldn’t seem to find the name of the restaurant we were googling. Based on pictures i had seen, i knew where it was situated so we walked into the likely department store, took like 18 escalators to the top, and finally... we found it. only it had changed it’s name since all of our friends had been there and i guess hadn’t updated anywhere online??
we waited for a table and it was totally worth it. we had drinks and watched an incredible sunset over the piazza.
A magical night.
I won’t tell you the name of the restaurant. if you go to florence, find it using this picture i took over terrace where we sat. it’ll be an adventure.
