Salvador Dalí spent nine months obsessing over every detail of this nine-foot-long painting.

Perfection was his goal, and he went to extraordinary lengths to achieve it. The entire composition of “The Sacrament of the Last Supper” was constructed using complex mathematical ratios derived from ancient Greek philosophers like Pythagoras. 👀 Every figure was meticulously placed - the men seated at the table are arranged in perfect mirror images on either side of Christ.

The background of the painting is just as impeccable - it’s an accurate portrayal of the view from Dalí’s home on the Catalan coast of northeastern Spain.

It’s no surprise the artist spent nearly a year completing this meticulously crafted spiritual exploration. You could easily spend just as long looking at it.

See it in person on the ground floor of our West Building. 📍
