## Caption

Where this parking lot now sits used to be Mother of God School. The school was adjacent to the Mother of God Church on West 6th Street in Covington. The school ultimately merged with other local Catholic schools to create what is now Prince Of Peace Academy in 1984. Part of the school remains to this day - this bust stood at the top of the archway of the school's front door. A sculpted lion that adorned the school can also be found near where the building once stood.
