## Caption

It’s been just over a year since the Badgers took the ice at Wrigley Field in January 2025, and sophomore forward Ryan Botterill still holds that day close to his heart. A lifelong baseball player and star pitcher, he got to take the pitcher’s mound at Wrigley and throw to his teammates, making his MLB “debut.”

Being a multi-sport athlete has helped Botterill develop in many ways, including shaping him into the competitive, gritty and compassionate teammate he is today.

Head to UWBadgers.com or click the link on our story to read more about the forward and how he made the hard choice between pursuing a future in hockey or baseball. 🏒⚾️
