One year later. The work continues.
This is Terica and Grayson Roberts. The world met Grayson last year when he went viral after the Eaton fires took their Altadena home… a moment that put a face, a heart, and a future to the devastation.
Since then, Black Music Action Coalition has continued to show up for this family, reflecting our commitment to supporting Los Angeles families long after the headlines fade.
Over the past year, Graysons_View has experienced what access and community can unlock stepping on stage at Rolling Loud, visiting James Brown’s home in Augusta, rocking out with Flavor Flav and 1500 or Nothin, and walking the Black Carpet at the annual BMAC Gala. Terica shares what this journey has meant for their family as they rebuild and move forward.
TericaRobertsLMFT, a licensed therapist, is now working directly with families supported by BMAC’s Fire Relief Fund, underscoring that rebuilding isn’t just physical, it’s emotional. A mother’s care is part of the foundation.
This is the action behind the mission. Under BMAC’s leadership, the work in Altadena is rooted in restoration, consistency, and care for this historic Black community.
