It’s important to give your reptiles new experiences. It enriches their minds and makes sure their worldview isn’t just that of their enclosure. 

Storytime about Gerald: I woke up the other night at like 4am hearing scrabbling coming from his enclosure. I waited for a while because I thought maybe he was just running around, but it continued with no change. I went to check on him, concerned that he had caught a nail on the screen top and had injured himself. He had not, but had instead apparently climbed onto the underside of the screen top and trapped himself there, unable to climb down onto the plastic sides of his enclosure which, for the record, he us fully capable of sticking to. I moved a cork tube so that he could climb onto it easily. After all the lights were back off, I soon heard the sounds of his little wrinkly feet running across cork. He’s not the cleverest.
