HEY Provo Canyon travelers. Momentary weekday closures of US-189 start THIS week. 

To keep everyone safe, weekday road closures will be in place while crews complete controlled blasting and hillside excavation, where rocks and debris could fall onto the road. 

📍 Where: US-189 from the Wallsburg turn-off to SR-113 in Charleston
📅 When: Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 7, through February
⏰ Time: Monday–Thursday, 10:00–10:50 a.m.

Please plan ahead, expect delays, and use alternate routes during closure times. 

And before you ask, no it’s not something we can do at night because #FederalLaw requires that blasting must occur during the daytime hours, and traffic must be fully stopped while the work is underway.
