U.S. Rep. Zach Nunn joined 17 House Republicans who broke with their party to help pass a bill to revive lapsed Obamacare subsidies that have kept health plans more affordable for millions of Americans.

Nunn was the only member of Iowa's congressional delegation to join Democrats Thursday, Jan. 8, in voting for a three-year extension of the insurance subsidies as part of a bill that passed 230-196.

"My vote today honors the promise of helping all Iowans receive health care, supports accountability for insurance companies and invests in patient and community providers as we move forward," Nunn posted on social media following his vote.
