I’ve travelling a lot this year in my van Betty and the place that surprised me the most was Scotland! 

My dad is Scottish, I have a lot of family up there, I was aware it’s beautiful, but the stars really aligned that week and I had the most magical time! 

This was the second week of May, and the sun did not stop shinning. Scotland is beautiful come rain or shine but this meant I could do so much swimming. I was even in a bikini on a beach in the north of Scotland, never thought I’d see the day! 

The NC500 is a 516 mile round route that takes you around the north coast of Scotland, I had never done it before and it exceeded all expectations! 

I did a mix of wild camping and campsites (please do not camp near people’s houses and TAKE ALL RUBBISH/WASTE WITH YOU!) people who leave rubbish behind deserve to loose their licence, so awful to see by the roadside and in the wildlife 

The sun set from 9:30pm- midnight which blew my mind, the sky was orange for hours! 

I met so many friendly people, swam in lochs and the sea. Had some great pies (my fav!) and saw some really incredible sights. Waterfalls, lochs, never ending hills, caves, pretty villages- it has it all! 

Roo absolutely loved it, everyday we woke up it was like she remembered where she was- so excited to go explore 

I highly recommend visiting Scotland, it really is one of the most beautiful places in the UK
