Journey to France, just as easy as that. 🚐🛳️

I like to camp around dover the night before so I can get an early ferry, I always think this means less queues. So far I’ve been lucky and haven’t had to queue before getting to the port 

Things I like about the ferry: 

You stay in your vehicle the whole journey to the ferry. Even with a dog. So no faffing with Roo, she doesn’t need to do anything but sit still for the microchip scan. 

** if you have a dog there is a whole process you’ll need to prepare for taking them aboard. You’ll need a health certificate or pet passport and a rabies jab. It’s long but relatively easy- speak to your vet in advance 

The signs make it very easy, so once you join the queue, you just follow the lane 

You drive straight off the ferry and don’t stop. you literally just drive straight onto the motorway because you did passport control before getting on the ferry 

Things I find mad about the ferry: 

You drive straight off the ferry and don’t stop. Yes this is the same as my like, but it’s also mad !? You just drive off and they let you free. Which does mean you need to get your directions up and ready to go whilst on the ferry- and you need to remember to start driving on the RIGHT. Otherwise you’re in the fast lane when you think it’s the slow lane and hold everyone up.
