The USA Wheelchair Football League played its championship game in Glendale on Tuesday as part of a slate of NFL events held during Super Bowl week.

Athletes with disabilities, including veterans, duked it out in a fast-paced football game, designed to closely resemble NFL play-style. The game was held at Camelback Ranch in Glendale on Feb. 7.

With support from the National Football League and Bob Woodruff Foundation Salute to Service grant, Move United started the USA Wheelchair Football League, which now has 11 teams across the country.

Since 2020, Move United has helped more than 575 athletes, including 226 veterans, get off the sidelines and get in the game, according to its website.
