In this edition of #WhatRUMadeOf, we had the privilege of speaking to Dylan Poku (@djron24), a class of 2023 student majoring in Material Science and Engineering ⭐️

Reflecting on the African proverb of ‘it takes a village,’ the meaning has shifted since the beginning of his college journey.

“Having hard working people around me who hold me accountable, yet still motivate me each day, has pushed me to be the best version of myself. College can be a scary place where it is very easy to lose yourself. However, being able to surround myself with loving people who hold me accountable is something I do not take lightly.”

Be sure to check back in throughout #BlackHistoryMonth for more student stories! 🗣️
