A lawsuit filed on Monday seeks to halt what the plaintiffs describe as an unprecedented increase in the number of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents in the state. If you can recall, there was community outrage following the passing of #ReneeNicoleGood who was shot by an ICE agent. They argue that this extensive federal immigration operation constitutes “a federal invasion of the Twin Cities.” The lawsuit requests that a federal court declare the deployment of DHS agents under the #Trump administration to be illegal, and it calls for additional measures to ensure the safety of the cities.

A complaint was filed the day after Homeland Security Secretary #KristiNoem announced that hundreds more federal officers are being deployed to the state in response to the protests following the shooting of Renee Nicole Good.
