In this edition of #WhatRUMadeOf, we had the privilege of speaking to Jacob Ajayi (@jxjayi), a class of 2025 @ru_nursing student majoring in Nursing ⭐️

His journey as an immigrant taught him the importance of authenticity, self-expression, and individuality.

“I want a voice to call out to those that feel alienated or too ‘outside of the box’ to know that that is okay to be yourself –– unapologetically. My culture instills a creed in me, to not only be the best in my given profession but also to be, unapologetically, the best version of myself possible –– a task that no one else could accomplish, even if they wanted to.”

Be sure to check back in throughout #BlackHistoryMonth for more student stories! 🗣️
