Enjoy a view from outside the Timber Mountain Log Ride, Supreme Scream, and Xcellerator at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. This steady exterior shot captures three distinct attractions operating simultaneously, highlighting the park’s unique mix of classic themed rides and high-intensity thrill experiences, all within the same sightline.

While Timber Mountain provides the foreground with its rugged Calico Ghost Town lumber camp theming and rushing waterways, the skyline is dominated by Supreme Scream Knott’s Turbo Drop amusement ride that opened in 1998. Supreme Scream lifts riders more than 250 feet into the air before releasing them in a near free fall, offering sweeping views of the park and surrounding Orange County before the sudden drop. Its towering presence has made it one of the most recognizable silhouettes on the Knott’s skyline for more than two decades.

In addition, Xcellerator, the Intamin-launched coaster that debuted in 2002 and quickly became one of Knott’s signature thrill rides. Trains accelerate from 0 to 82 miles per hour in just 2.3 seconds, blasting riders down the launch track before climbing the massive top hat element that rises over 200 feet into the air. From this vantage point, you can see trains crest the top hat, dive back toward the station, and hear the powerful hydraulic launch system as each train rockets out of the station.

Together, Supreme Scream and Xcellerator represent Knott’s major push into large-scale thrill attractions in the late 1990s and early 2000s, transforming the park’s skyline and complementing long-standing classics like Timber Mountain.
