Earlier today, Dr. Kevin James announced that the Morris Brown College Board of Trustees had terminated him from his position. Comments on the official post made by Dr. James, continues to leave  his supporters shocked and confused on this abrupt decision, especially after his instrumental role in the resurgence of Morris Brown. 

📍A statement received by 11alive from the College states: “Dr. James has played a meaningful role in guiding the institution through critical seasons of growth, resilience, and transformation. The Board thanks him for his dedication to the students, faculty, staff and alumni, and the broader Morris Brown College community, and wishes him well in his next chapter.”

-Nzinga Shaw (current MBC BOT member ) was appointed as the Interim President 

Many comments also spoke to the transparency of the Board of Trustees with the reasoning behind this decision, which leads to the question of “How much transparency do Boards of Trustees owe their campus communities?”
