If you've never burned incense before or need some quick reassurance, we have some quick tips for you below. ⁠
⁠
1. Simply light the incense with a match or a lighter. Let it heat up. ⁠
⁠2. Then, blow out the flame. The incense should be lit and releasing a steady stream of smoke into the air. Same process for lighting cone incense and stick incense. For the cones, you’ll start at the tip of the pyramid and let it burn down to the base. ⁠

3. If you’re leaving the house, be sure to tamp out the burning part of the incense. But don’t throw it away. Save it for later. You can pick up right where you left off by lighting the end of it, just like you do at the start. ⁠
