I have a friend who jokes that I have lived many lives. While it is a joke like most things we say in jest there is some truth to it. ⁣
⁣
In thirty years of life I have lived many lives, the catalyst to change often being an unyielding discomfort with my current state. ⁣
⁣
5 years ago I took a leap of faith, in myself and my future. ⁣
⁣
Sobriety has completely changed the trajectory of my life. In sobriety I am no longer a victim, I no longer feel artificially empowered by gossip, I believe in myself and know my worth, relationships are sacred, and growth through discomfort is nonnegotiable.⁣
⁣
Since the day I put down the glass life has been far from easy but it has been oh so beautiful. For one thing is always true my worst day sober is far better than my best day drunk. ⁣
