@varkaness: To wrap up my “Meet the Band” posts, here’s a rig rundown! ⠀

I’ve always loved @officialjacksonguitars, since I bought my first Kelly when I was in high school. My favorite guitar changes all the time, but my current favorite is my Rhoads in natural oil mahogany with gold hardware. It has @seymourduncanpickups Blackouts and a Jackson/Floyd Rose tremolo bridge. ⠀

My amp of choice is an @evhgear 5150III 100W head with a matching 4x12 straight cab. I use the third channel. After trying many, many other amps from other brands, I felt that EVH had the best tone for my needs and didn't need a billion effects to get the sound I wanted. ⠀

I had the head modded to include lights. I did it on a whim. I was getting the tubes replaced, and the technician asked if I wanted to add lights. I said sure, and that was that! ⠀

I recently added a @protonepedals Dead Horse Overdrive Deluxe to my rig. It just refines and sharpens the sound of the EVH. Paired with a noise gate (I use the ISP Technologies Decimator II), gives it that nice, crispy melodeath-type sound I’ve been aiming at for awhile. ⠀

I’m kinda bummed that I didn’t get to use the pedals much in a live setting before COVID hit. On the bright side, you’ll hear them in the new recordings we’re working on! ⠀
