We are so proud of you zetakromah!  Tribe Stars in Liberia officially launched its first soccer camp in the Chicken Soup Factory community to show kindness, empower youth and strengthen communities through soccer 🇱🇷⚽️ 
Founded by Zeta Kromah, an alumna of LEAD Monrovia Football Academy in Liberia and a sophomore Division 1 student-athlete at the College of William and Mary. 

The first camp was assisted by her co-founder Leon Crawford, a former classmate at LEAD alongside with the rest of her high school graduating class, LEAD coaching staff, family members and community leaders.

Gratitude to William and Mary women’s soccer and field hockey teams and coaches, WM Reves Center, LEAD Monrovia Football Academy and LEAD Edu, Zuk Sportwear, Just Smile, the local teams in Williamsburg for soccer equipment donations, and everyone who donated soccer gear and contributed to the GoFundMe page for this project. 

Your generous donations and support have allowed 34 young athletes to receive soccer equipment, copybooks, pens and backpacks from this community. This kind gesture stands as a reminder that their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, they’re valued and capable of achieving their dreams of playing on the biggest stadiums in the world. 

Why does this project matter to me? 
I was born in West Point, one of the slum communities in Liberia, which is known for its bad reputation in child upbringing. I have navigated my way through a society that stereotypes the outcomes of this community and women involved in soccer. Through this experience, I have seen and lived what it’s like to have big dreams and ambitions within a society of limited opportunities and resources.

I graduated as a valedictorian of LEAD Monrovia Football Academy. I have proudly represented Liberia at the women’s 17, 20, and senior national teams and captained the under-17 team for a year. These experiences continue to shape my perspective of the world and the impact I strive to make.
