So how can we MAXIMIZE experiences, and minimize expenses?? 🤔 
•
Save for future trip planning! 
•
1️⃣ Pre-Plan Meals & Pack Dry Food..
including staples for breakfast, picnics, snacks, and those in-between meals really adds up! 💰
•
Purchase cold groceries upon arrival, and in Hawaii, find reasonably priced farmers markets and fresh veggie stands throughout the islands! 
•
Transfer dry food into grocery bags, and fill your rticoutdoors cooler to keep food (and drinks 🍻) cold for days.
•
⚠️ According to Hawaii’s Plant Industry, foods that are cooked, canned, frozen, commercially processed and/or packaged (including meat!) are welcome to Hawaii (as long as they originated in the U.S). 
•
2️⃣ Consider Camping or Van-Lifing! 🚐 
•
Having a home-on-wheels means you’re never far from a small kitchen, a change of clothes 👙, and the trailhead 🥾😉. 
Best part - it doubles as your transportation and accommodation!

⛺️ TIP: most Hawaii state run campsites only permit tent camping. If you opt to rent a camper van, search for privately owned campsites on ioverlander, or hipcamp. On Airbnb, we selected rentals that include overnight parking, either on the owners farm or beachside property!

3️⃣ Bring Insulated, Sustainable Drinkware:
Skip buying plastic bottled water and pricey beverages! In our rticoutdoors cooler we always had chilled sparkling waters and cold beers! 
•
Fill up your rticoutdoors sustainable mugs and wine coolers, which we brought on hikes and to the beach!
•
Making Happy Hour anywhere & cooking meals on the go not only saves time & money— it limits waste and helps preserve Hawaii’s pristine beaches! ♻️
