Yared Nuguse 🇺🇸 headlines a loaded Men’s 1500m field at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold Meeting tomorrow in Madrid, Spain. 

Spain’s Mo Katir 🇪🇸 is also entered for tomorrow’s marquee event and he will look to use the bustling home crowd in Madrid to his advantage to take down one of the most in-form distance runners in the world this year, Yared Nuguse. Katir is coming off a monumental performance in the 3000m last Wednesday, as the Spaniard dropped a 7:24.68 and moved all the way up to 2nd on the all-time 3000m list. 

The races also features Grant Fisher 🇺🇸(US record holder in the 5000m & 10000m), Mario Garcia Romo 🇪🇸 (4th placer in the 1500m at the 2022 World Championships) and fan-favorite Adel Meechal 🇪🇸 (5th placer in the 1500m at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics). 

Can we see a world record attempt tomorrow ⁉️

Jakob Ingebrigtsen’s indoor 1500m world record of 3:30.60 will definitely be within reach for some of the top athletes in the field! 👀 

Madrid, Spain is at over 2,200 feet altitude, which is worth around 2 added seconds in a 1500m at prescribed pace (3:30.00) ⚡️
