I think we can all agree that sometimes, eating healthier can be quite the challenge. #AD There are just so many factors that go into a well-balanced diet. For me, one of the most daunting challenges is choosing the best options for my family.

Not all foods are created equal and sometimes that can make shopping trips take forever. I don’t know about you but I just do not have time to read every label. Thankfully Hannafordmkts has made things a lot easier with their Guiding Stars program.

Found on Hannaford store brand products, these stars rank the nutritional values in foods from one to three stars. 1 star = good nutritional value, 2 stars = better nutritional value, and 3 stars = the best nutritional value.

Fruit and yogurt parfaits are some of my family’s favorites so I was able to get the most nutritional bang for my buck by being mindful of the Guiding Stars when shopping.

Be sure to look for the little blue and green labels in the produce section as well as throughout the store on store brand products to get easy nutritional guidance in a pinch.
