Welcome home, Crew-4! 🧑‍🚀⁣

At 12:05 p.m. ET (1605 UTC), #Crew4 astronauts undocked from the International Space Station (ISS), beginning their trip back to Earth and completing a nearly six-month science mission in low-Earth orbit. Several hours later, the crew splashed down off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida, at approximately 4:50 p.m. ET (2050 UTC).⁣

Crew-4 NASAAstronauts astro_kjell, astro_farmerbob, astro_watkins, and EuropeanSpaceAgency astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti spent their stay on the ISS conducting exciting scientific research in areas such as the aging of immune systems, organic material concrete alternatives, and cardiorespiratory effects during and after long-duration exposure to microgravity—just a few of the more than 200 science experiments that took place during their mission.⁣

Crew-4 is one of our regular commercial crew rotation missions that enable the continuation of important research and technology investigations on the station. This research benefits people on Earth and lays the groundwork for future exploration of the Moon and Mars with NASAArtemis.⁣
