Beverly Hanson is remembered as one of the greatest female golfers ever to have played the game.

Born in the United States on December 5, 1924, she won 17 tournaments during her career, making her one of the most prolific female players in history.

Her greatest achievement came in 1955 when she won the LPGA Championship and was followed a year later by success at the Women’s Western Open before claiming a third major victory with the 1958 Titleholders Championship. In addition to this formidable list of successes she also held the title for U.S. Women's Amateur Champion for 1950 and went on to become one of founders of @lpga_tour in 1950.

Beverly Hanson passed away in April 2014 but her legacy lives on as an inspirational figure who blazed a trail for future generations within women’s golf.
