Rosenberg disputed this assessment, arguing that many people, including talent within the company, were genuinely unaware it was a storyline. He cited personal interactions with Rollins and fellow broadcaster Big E as evidence that the "work" was effective.

"I was there, me and many other people had no idea it was an angle," Rosenberg said. He addressed the journalists directly, stating, "You guys are so up the a** of pro wrestling that you think normal fans... even hardcore fans... knew."
