Fresh off the biggest and boldest iteration of the 24-Hour Playwriting Competition yet, which was held at and co-presented with National Gallery Singapore last November, T:>Works is excited to present the winners from the Open and Youth categories! 

This edition’s winning entries tackled big issues across themes of personal and national identity, justice, and spirituality. The creativity and vision of the aspiring playwrights shone through the scripts as each stimulus was seamlessly integrated into engaging narratives, powerful themes, and complex characters. 

At the National Gallery, our Venue and Programme Partner, this edition’s participants were invited to respond to two installations under the Gallery’s OUTBOUND series—reimagining transitional spaces and key entrances at the Gallery through a series of unique artwork commissions, developed in collaboration with leading artists from around the world—Angin Cloud by Art Labor and Eidolon by Vong Phaophanit and Claire Oboussier. 

The winning scripts will go through development by T:>Works alongside established directors, writers, and performers, culminating in a Dramatised Reading. This 24-Hour Playwriting Competition community showcase is by-invitation-only. To learn more, please DM us.
