For this week’s story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have @tylerseville & @julianaseville ✨

"Tyler was a transfer student who joined a new student program hoping to meet people and learn how to navigate campus. Juliana was a commuter student looking to give back, despite already leading OCSA and being a part of VPLC. Little did they know, the Rising Leaders Institute would introduce them to their future significant other in 2010.

However, once they went to their first Rutgers basketball game, they knew there was something special. The RAC was electric, and despite the men's team losing, Juliana and Tyler "won" - quickly bonding over food, family, Disney, and making the video board. After graduating, they both lived at home, focused on their careers during the week and seeing each other on the weekends. One day in 2015, the two took a trip to Disney, and Tyler proposed to Juliana. The two were married the following year (2016), and on their wedding day, made sure they stopped off at Rutgers for some wedding photos.

Today, Juliana and Tyler are happily married and blessed with two beautiful girls, Elena (2019) and Camilla (2021). And while not too far from campus, the two still take an occasional trip to campus for a fish bowl and perogies or chicken kebab."
