I love, love WA State Parks and all they have to offer and I feel like are often overlooked compared to National Parks. From affordable cabin rentals, to budget-friendly campsites, both can be booked up to 9 months ahead of time, (which I have also scored great last minutes sites 1-2 weeks before camping). Just a reminder to book those summer car camping trips! I have 2 summer car camping trips booked already to 2 state parks I haven’t visited yet, can’t wait for summer!

State Parks in photo order and why they’re great:

Photo 1) A rental cabin at Potholes State Park in Othello, WA. This park has been our gateway to go visit Palouse Falls over the years!

Photo 2) A rental cabin at Twin Harbors State Park in Westport, WA. We are actually staying here this coming weekend with some friends to go razor clamming. Also a neat spot to be able to drive your car onto the beach during low tide.

Photo 3) Belfair State Park in Belfair, WA. The campground is located on Hood Canal and you can walk right over to go oystering.

Photo 4) Maryhill State Park in Goldendale, WA. This one is located on the Columbia River and we stayed here last spring to go wildflower chasing at Columbia Hills nearby!

Photo 5) Lake Easton State Park in Easton, WA. Is about an hour away from Seattle, and has a great lake to go swimming in, and close to the Teanaways to stay at to go larch chasing in the fall.

Happy camping!🏕️ #wastateparks #stateparks #washingtonstate
