## Caption

Pygmy seahorses are among the smallest seahorse species in the world, typically measuring less than 2cm in height. These tiny fish are almost indistinguishable from their surroundings thanks to their extreme camouflage skills.⁣
⁣
Because they rely on specialized coral habitats and specific hosts like seafans—and have limited swimming ability—pygmy seahorses are highly sensitive to environmental damage. ⁣
⁣
Pollution, climate change, coastal development, fishing activities, and even subtle changes in water temperature or quality can threaten their survival. For all of these reason, they are important indicators of reef health.⁣
⁣
Greenpeace_tw spotted this rare sight at Anchor Reef in Sansen Tai in 2025, highlighting the area’s rich biodiversity and intact microhabitats. ⁣
⁣
However, the site is still not designated as a marine protected area. We are calling on the government to strengthen ocean protection and establish no-take zones that prohibit all fishing activities.⁣
⁣
Join us in demanding ocean sanctuaries to protect their homes! ⁣
