Tom & Jerry Sounds :) 

Kicking the year off with some classic cartoon comedy! This clip is from a Tom & Jerry episode called “Cat Napping” originally released in 1951.

My favorite sound here is the plane going by — created by vibrating a rubber mallet against the drum. The small metal chain on the drumhead adds a rattling texture to evoke the propellors, and I’m also blowing air into the mic to provide some low-end, giving the plane real a sense of scale within the scene. Mm! It’s the little things.

And who doesn’t love the sound of bubbles? Satisfying!

Hope you enjoy these sounds! And wishing everyone a wonderful 2026 filled with lots of joyous sounds (and lots of naps that are hopefully much more successful than Tom’s in this clip)
